Every tool you use should help you accomplish a task in a better more efficient way. This is all well and good, but the number of software tools that exist are mind boggling, making it difficult to find the tools that would actually make your computer life better. In this section, some of the tools used to improve my life are discussed. I typically have a preference towards free/opensource solutions when a good quality product is available that meets my needs. Unfortunately they don’t always exist.
